Wholly Hearted is a Christian blog that wants you to be inspired by God’s word and love Him wholeheartedly. We’re dedicated to providing you with some of the most thoughtful and insightful Bible studies on the Internet, that will allow you to dig deeper into the Word, strengthen your relationship with God, and inspire you to live a life dedicated to Him.
Our Vision
We believe that Bible studies should be more than “self-help power thoughts” for the day. They should dig deep into the Scriptures, challenge us, and compel us to change (2 Corinthians 5:14-15) our lives to become more like Jesus and less like ourselves. After all, the Bible is the inspired word of God (2 Peter 1:20-21) and is meant to teach, rebuke, correct, and train us in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Unfortunately, many people who have the heart for God do not actually know how to read the Bible or actually understand it. Our vision is to create Bible studies that will help you fall in love with God’s word and see the life changing power of the Scriptures. We pray that our Bible studies will not only deepen your relationship with God but also your convictions. We hope that our Bible studies will inspire you to have daily, life changing times in the Word with God.
Our Bible Studies
Our Bible Studies (i.e. our blog posts) are meant to challenge you, and encourage you to dive deep into God’s word. We want everything you learn to be based off the Scriptures, rather than what we may have to say (Acts 17:11). Therefore, you’ll notice a few things about each of our blog posts:
- We refer to the Scriptures. A lot. Because of that, we try to write out the Scriptures themselves in the blog post. If the Scripture is not within the blog post, then you can hover over the Scripture reference and read what it says.
- We provide practical tips on how to live out the Scriptures. The Bible is alive and active (Hebrews 4:12), which means it’s meant to be used. Every Bible study will have practical tips that you can apply to your life.
- We list other relevant Bible studies at the bottom of each page. That way, if you want to dig even deeper, you’ll know where to go.
- We use the New International Version to refer to the Scriptures. This is our own personal preference, but if you’d like more information about this, check out this blog post we wrote about it.
Who We Are
We’re a married couple in our 30’s that has done ministry related service for over 10 years. We’re deacons in our church and lead a Single Professionals ministry, where we provide daily Bible studies through small group discussions, ministry devotionals, and individual mentorship times. We are not in the full time ministry (i.e. we are not appointed ministers/pastors and we are not paid by the church for what we do). We serve others, not because we have to, but because we want to, and it’s our pleasure to serve God in this way.
